To delight young and old alike, here are the various services we offer:

  • Guided tour of the abbey: one of our guides will take you on a one-hour tour and explain the history of this historic monument and the family who owns it.
    *Guided tours run at fixed times, no booking required, minimum of five people required for the tour to take place.
  • Self-guided tour: At any time of day during the abbey’s opening hours, you can visit at your own pace with the help of explanatory panels or audio guides.
    Two apps are available to download free of charge to learn more about the history of the abbey (izi.travel) and the biodiversity of our gardens (explorama).
  • Fun treasure hunt for families:
    Designed especially for families aged 4 to 99, this treasure hunt offers a unique experience in the secret corners of the abbey!
    You will be immersed in a fantastic story as you search for the lost treasure of Valmagne!
    We will offer you a tasting of our wines at the end of the game.
    * Available during the abbey’s opening hours.
    * No prior booking required.
    * Duration of the game: 1½ to 2 hours

** Each type of tour includes access to the medieval garden and the grape variety conservatory. **

We can provide a document transcribed in Easy to Read and Understand format if required.

The monument’s shop offers many products.
Our wines of course! The whole range is present and the expertise of our guides allows us to advise you in your choices.

The books. Valmagne has a particularly well-stocked bookstore offering books on monks as well as on architecture, cuisine and wine.

Monastic products. In Valmagne, we offer visitors to discover products from other abbeys, still in monastic activity. These products are made by monks or nuns!

Abbey and tasting cellar:
Tuesday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm.
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: from 10am to 6pm.
Closed on Mondays. Closed on Saturday and Sunday mornings in January.

FROM 15 APRIL TO 30 SEPTEMBER
Abbey and tasting cellar:
Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm.
Closed on Mondays, except Mondays in July, August and September.

Wine Restaurant :

Open Tuesday to Sunday every lunchtime, on concert evenings, and on Fridays and Saturdays in July and August.
